SPIRITUAL: Reacting vs responding
When we react we act on impulse, instant gratification, emotion. Our anger cannot heal us and rarely gets us what we want. Those who have angered us will not suffer as mugh as we will by reacting. Our anger intensifies our pain and resentment which causes us more suffering to us than to others
When we respond we act on our principles, delayed gratification, reason. Our mind is clear to put our interests firts to allow ourselves to heal to act in our benefit. We need only ask ourselves what we can learn from the event and not concern ourselves with what the others need to learn.
